He worked in Great Britain's NHS Burnley Hospital for six months. He was trained in endoscopic surgical laparoscopy - hysteroscopy by Professor Adam Magos in London's Royal Free Hospital. In the field of ourogynecology, he was trained in Liege, Belgium by Professor De Leval, in Lyon, France by Professor Mellier, in Clermont Ferrand, France by Professor Zackthan. He also has a particular interest in assisted reproduction and a special knowledge in the investigation of infertility and all IVF techniques, as he holds a master's degree of the University of Athens in Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine - MASTER IN REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE. He created and organized the Yrodynamic Study and Rehabilitation of Pelvic Floor Disorders section in IASO, of which he is responsible until today. He is a member of the Endoscopic Group of IASO, one of the most modern and organized surgical endoscopy departments operating in Europe and he performs laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries on a daily basis.
Doctor Koufomichail G. Vasileios was born and raised in the suburb of Agia Paraskevi, where he completed all levels of basic education with excellent grades. He graduated from the English-speaking University SEMMELWES UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE with grade 8.5 and then completed the mandatory rural service at K.Y. Vlachioti for 1.5 year, during the last year of which he was a manager. He served in the Air Force as epiatros at Tanagra air base and graduated from the Faculty of Aerospace Medicine. He worked in the General Surgery of Am. Fleming and Salvation Hospital. The main specialty of Obstetrics-Gynecology completed at the maternity home of El. Venizelos, where he earned extra experience in ourogynecology with particular emphasis on vaginal surgery and treatment of female urinary incontinence.
Member of the Athens Medical Association as well as of the Greek company of gynecological endoscopy, he actively participates as a speaker at numerous official conferences - at global and European seminars related to the specializations of Gynecology, of Assisted Reproduction and of Endoscopic Surgery, which take place at IASO every two years with the participation of distinguished Greek and foreign speakers. He has written articles in numerous magazines for gynecological diseases issues.
